    Complete Dentures

If you have lost multiple teeth in your mouth or require full-arch replacement, you may consider getting a complete denture. Loss of multiple teeth may occur due to oral trauma, extensive tooth decay, or periodontal disease. It can affect your oral functions, making it difficult to bite, chew, and speak normally, but we can restore them with complete dentures.

A complete denture has a wide, gum-colored base made of acrylic material. It relies entirely on the gums and underlying jawbone for retention. The base supports a full set of acrylic or porcelain teeth that resemble your natural teeth.

With complete dentures, we can replace the entire upper, lower, or both arches. These dentures are easily removable, and you can take them off as necessary.

Questions About Complete and Partial Dentures?

    Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are a cost-effective and reliable solution for those who have lost one or more teeth. The design of a partial denture is similar to that of a complete denture. It also has an acrylic base and a set of artificial teeth that fill in the missing spaces.

However, the basic difference is that a partial denture relies on the support of adjacent healthy teeth. The acrylic base often has metal clasps or hooks that latch onto the adjacent teeth for support. Due to this reason, a partial denture has better retention than a complete denture.

It replaces your teeth and allows you to eat more comfortably. Our dentists design personalized dentures that not only restore your functions but also enhance your smile aesthetics.

    The Treatment Process

Getting a new denture at our practice is an easy and painless process that usually takes two to three dental visits. In the first appointment, we will discuss your concerns and examine the condition of your existing teeth. Our dentists will also evaluate the health of your gums and jawbone to design a custom denture for your needs.

If you require full-arch replacement with a complete denture, we will extract the remaining teeth in your cavity. Once adequate healing occurs, we will take impressions of your upper and lower arch, ensuring to record your natural bite.

These impressions are sent to a dental lab, where technicians design your custom-fit denture according to the given requirements. Most complete and partial dentures only have an acrylic base, but we may add a metal framework for additional strength and retention.

When the denture is ready, we will test its fit in your mouth. In the final steps, we will perform some minor adjustments and polish the surface for a smooth, lustrous finish.
